Second Cohort of PlanSwift 11.0 Digital BoQ Training concludes in Morogoro, Tanzania

We have successfully concluded the PlanSwift 11.0 training on Digital BoQ Preparation and Quantity Takeoff, bringing together committed participants from Tanzania Building Agency and others from private companies for an intensive program in digital quantity take-off and bill of quantities preparation. Delivered in a hybrid format, with participants joining both in person in Morogoro and virtually via Zoom, the training was coordinated end-to-end by the Nziza Global team and delivered by an expert instructor who guided the cohort through every stage of the curriculum.

    Commitment Meets Capability

    Commitment Meets Capability

Participants brought strong commitment throughout the program, with attendance holding firm across both physical and virtual groups and learners pushing through hands-on exercises rather than settling for passive demonstration a discipline that paid off, as every participant completed a full digital take-off and drafted a bill of quantities independently by the end. Central to that shift was PlanSwift 11.0 itself, participants learned to navigate the interface, perform area, linear, count, and segmented take-offs, and structure their output for clean export into Excel-based BoQs, catching the errors that plague manual estimating along the way. For many, this was their first real encounter with a tool built specifically for digital quantity surveying, and it showed the move away from rulers and printed drawings left the cohort visibly struck by how much faster and more precise the process had become.

Behind the Scenes: The Team That Made It Happen

Delivering a hybrid training of this scale takes coordination beyond the classroom. The Nziza Global team managed logistics across both the in-person Morogoro venue and the virtual Zoom sessions, ensuring participants on either side experienced the same quality of instruction. Our instructor carried the full curriculum across both formats without compromise, adapting delivery so virtual attendees received the same hands-on depth as those working side-by-side in the room.

A New Standard for Take-Off and BoQ Practice

By the close of the program, the shift was unmistakable. Participants who started out hesitant to leave manual methods behind were, by the final session, confidently running end-to-end digital take-offs and drafting BoQs on their own. To build on this momentum, participants are now being encouraged to apply their new skills on live projects. As Nziza Global continues expanding access to tools like PlanSwift, this training marks another step in building a pipeline of professionals ready to lead the construction industry's shift toward digital-first workflows.
