The First-ever Civil 3D 2027 Training in Highway BIM Design Concluded in Tanzania

In a landmark training event held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Nziza Global delivered a Highway BIM Design training using Autodesk Civil 3D 2027 the most current release powering road infrastructure design. This training gathered engineers from TARURA, Tanzania Geothermal Development Company (TGDC LTD), Mysteva Company Ltd, and others under one roof to master cutting-edge tools that are reshaping how highways are planned, modeled, and delivered across the country. Their mission was set out to build the skills needed to deliver smarter, safer, and more sustainable roads and infrastructure for Tanzania and beyond.

This training brought together civil engineers, surveyors, CAD technicians, project managers, and construction professionals from across Tanzania's road sector all united by one goal: to design highways better. Guided by an Autodesk certified instructor and practicing transportation engineer (Gapfizi Pierre), participants worked through a complete Civil 3D 2027 BIM workflow, from surface creation and alignment design through to advanced corridor modeling, intersection design, and quantity takeoff. The program concluded with a real capstone project each participant designed an actual highway, presented it, and received structured feedback and after was awarded with a recognized Autodesk certification and ERB accredited Professional Development Units (PDUs).

Why this Training Matters in Tanzania’s Roads and Infrastructure

Why this Training Matters in Tanzania’s Roads and Infrastructure

Tanzania's road network spans over 145,000 km one of the largest in East Africa yet much of it remains unpaved and underfunded. As TANROADS, TARURA, and private firms take on increasingly complex road projects backed by international financiers, the demand for engineers who can deliver BIM compliant designs is growing fast. This training directly addresses that gap putting Civil 3D 2027 in the hands of the engineers building Tanzania's future roads.

A Road Built Today, A Nation Moving Tomorrow

As Tanzania accelerates its road infrastructure agenda, tools like Civil 3D are becoming essential in delivering highways that are designed with precision, built with efficiency, and aligned with international standards. With this training, Tanzania's road engineers are now getting equipped to lead highway BIM design with confidence from the first survey point to the final corridor model. Nziza Global remains committed to empowering engineers, institutions, and firms across Tanzania and Africa with world class digital design skills. We are honored to support Tanzania's and Africa’s journey toward smarter, faster, and more resilient road infrastructure.
