We're excited to share that our Chief Technical Officer, Eng. Gorki CHARITE, recently wrapped up a successful two-day demo training at the University of INES Ruhengeri. This event brought together over 290 graduating Civil Engineering students for an engaging and insightful exploration of modern structural Building Information Modeling (BIM) with Protastructure 2025. We are actively collaborating with engineering universities to help push their students forward by integrating industry-relevant skills and software technologies into their academic programs. Our goal is to ensure that students are equipped with the practical tools and expertise that companies and employers demand in today’s competitive job market, well before they graduate. As the construction industry continues to evolve, the role of technology in shaping the future of engineering is undeniable. The hands-on training session focused on the latest advancements in structural BIM modeling, providing the students with valuable insights into the powerful tools that will drive future infrastructure development.
The two-day session was packed with learning opportunities, offering the students an in-depth look at key aspects of BIM and its practical applications in structural engineering: • Advanced Techniques in Structural BIM Modeling: Students learned the best practices for creating complex and accurate structural designs using BIM, helping them stay ahead of the curve in the evolving field of civil engineering. • The Importance of BIM in Today’s Construction Industry: With the growing need for efficiency and precision in construction, BIM has become an essential tool. Eng. Gorki CHARITE highlighted how BIM transforms the way engineers plan, design, and manage building projects, enhancing collaboration and reducing costly errors. • Hands-On training with Protastructure 2025: The students had the opportunity to engage directly with Protastructure 2025, a leading software for structural and earthquakes engineering. Through live demonstrations, they learnt firsthand how the software streamlines the design process, improves accuracy, and increases productivity in the field.
One of the most inspiring aspects of the training was witnessing the enthusiasm and drive of the next generation of civil engineers who came from different corners of Africa to get their degree at this university. The students eagerly embraced the innovative tools and concepts trained, clearly excited about the future of engineering and infrastructure in their respective countries. Their dedication to advancing their knowledge in these cutting-edge technologies shows the bright future of their countries’ civil engineering sector. Thanks to INES Ruhengeri and All Participants A massive thank you to INES Ruhengeri for hosting the training session and providing an excellent learning environment. We're grateful to all the students and faculty who participated and helped make this event a resounding success.
